APi Hidden Leaf PassiveHouse System
Frame system with RPT - 80 mm

System Features

The APi Hidden Leaf PassiveHouse System was designed to meet the requirements of the PassiveHouse concept, which is a construction standard that defines high performance, energy efficiency, health, comfort, economic accessibility, and sustainability.

The APi Hidden Leaf PassiveHouse System allows the application of high-performance double or triple glazing to meet the thermal and acoustic insulation requirements according to Directive No. 2010/31/EU.

With excellent thermal insulation combined with the insertion of an innovative insulating product between the profiles, known as Low Lambda, and together with ThermoProfile strips, the APi Hidden Leaf PassiveHouse System provides high levels of comfort and energy savings that meet the requirements of Decree-Law No. 194/2015 and Ordinance 379-A/2015.

Aluminum Profiles

Profiles with thermal break obtained by inserting Low Lambda insulating bars of 39mm and 46mm reinforced with 25% glass fiber.

Average thickness of aluminum profiles: 1.6 mm

Fixed Frames

• Section of fixed frames: 80 mm with triple chamber;
• Fixed frames with thermal break with Low Lambda type omega insulating bars of 39 mm;
• Fixed frames with double quick-clamping frame and alignment frames for half-frame assembly;
• Crossbars with double union for more effective clamping;
• Traditional fixed frames for the domestic market;
• Fixed frames with external and internal clip for 30, 50, 65, or 80 mm finishing application for the French market.

Movable Frames

• Section of movable frame: 79 mm with triple chamber;
• Movable frame with thermal break with Low Lambda insulating bar of 46 mm;
• Movable frame with double quick-clamping frame and alignment frames for half-frame assembly;
• Inverter profile with eyelet for better application of the inverter top;
• External Bite profile in special black polymer with a flexible area to ensure better sealing or alternatively with an aluminum Bite with an additional marine-quality E.P.D.M. seal.

Sizing and Maneuverability

Recommended minimum - maximum dimensions of the leaf: 457 mm - 1400 mm (L); 457 mm - 2400 mm (H);
• Maximum weight for windows or balcony doors with tilt-and-turn up to 180 Kg;
• Opening possibilities: fixed, inward-opening 1 or 2 leaves with or without tilt-and-turn, tilt;
• Allows opening with micro-ventilation;
• Filling for double or triple glazing from 34 mm to 39 mm;
• The invisibility of the Hidden Hardware, casement or tilt-and-turn, gives the window superior finesse and perfection.

Performance

System certified by a notified laboratory for Type Tests (iTT) according to the product standard EN 14351-1:2006+A2:2019 for CE Marking purposes.

Categories achieved in the evaluation of the APi Hidden Leaf PassiveHouse System:
• Air permeability: Class 4 (standards EN 12207 and EN 1206)
• Water tightness: Class E1500 (standards EN 12208 and EN 1027)
• Wind resistance: Class C5 (standards EN 12210 and EN 12211)

Thermal transmission coefficient for the APi Hidden Leaf PassiveHouse System with a 1.23 m x 1.48 m opening with triple glazing Ug= 0.4 W/m2K with "Warm Edge" effect interlayer:
• Uw = 0.74 W/m2K

Sound reduction coefficient for the APi Hidden Leaf PassiveHouse System with a 1.23 m x 1.48 m opening with double glazing Rw= 49 dB (-2,-7):
• Rw (C,Ctr) = 45 dB (-1,-5)

Application zones according to REH and RECS regulations (based on Ug value): I1, I2, I3, V1, V2, V3.
